Scientists tested fucoidan, a seaweed compound, to reduce gut inflammation in Atlantic salmon caused by plant-based proteins like soy. They found fucoidan improved gut health and immune response without affecting growth. This could make fish farming more sustainable by allowing more plant-based ingredients in fish feed.
